			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The MTA&#8217;s board of director is considering spending $10 million to research the feasibility of two rail lines between East Los Angeles and South El Monte/Whittier areas. One possible new line would run parallel to the 60 freeway. Routes through Whittier and Beverly Blvd. were shot down with too many hurdles to overcome. According to sources, the politicians of El Monte, Industry, Rosemead, Montebello, Monterey Park, and South El Monte are supportive of the light rail along the 60 freeway route. Other routes being considered include one along Beverly Blvd. Once the decision is made though, it will require a scramble for funds in 2022 and probably will get completed around 2033. So keep on driving your cars for now&#8230;</p>
