The San Gabriel Valley is a major hub of freeways. The main freeway going east/west is the interstate 10. It cuts across  from West Covina to East Los Angeles. The other 2 east west freeways are the 210 (mostly through Pasadena) and the 60 (through Whittier and City of Industry). For north and south freeways, read more below the map… Advertisement:

The two major north/south freeways are the 710 and 605 both which start in Long Beach to the south. The 710 was never completed to its final destination in Pasadena so you get dumped of at Valley Blvd. which is the major non freeway artery cutting through the heart of the SGV.

The 605 ends up at the 210 feeway interchange. If you go west on the 210 you’ll head towards Pasadena, then Glendale, and Burbank.

The north/south 57 freeway is near the border of what is traditionally considered the San Gabriel Valley. It originates in Pomona and cuts across to Fullerton and then to central Orange County in Anaheim.

The 110 is the oldest freeway in the US. It starts at the port of Los Angeles and goes up north through Dowtown LA, pass Dodger Stadium and ends in Pasadena.
