Weather
The San Gabriel Valley enjoys a warm, sunny, and Mediterranean-like climate year-round. Legend says the main reason the original founders of the rose parade created the event was to showcase the region’s favorable weather
The average daily high is in the mid 70s° F and daily low is 50° F. In the winter, it doesn’t snow in the SGV, but it can often be viewed on the nearby San Gabriel Mountains. The view of the San Gabriel Mountains is sometimes obscured by smog which blows east into the valley from Los Angeles. However, the smog tends to be cleared after heavy rains or winds thus improving the view.
